Claire Elise Bocher,/bu:'SeI/boo-SHAY born on the 17th of March, 1988. The name she is given is Grimes. She began her career in the early 1990s. has been described as going from "lo-fi R&B" to futuristic dance-pop. [4] She's also taken influences from electronic music hip hop and rock. Her songs often incorporate science-fiction and feminist themes within her lyrics. Five studio albums were made available by the group. The singer was born and raised in Vancouver (later relocated into Montreal), Grimes began making music on her own in the late 2000s, releasing two albums, Geidi Primes as well as Halfaxa, in 2010 via Arbutus Records. The album was released in 2012 and Visions was her third studio album. The band was signed to 4AD. Visions includes the singles "Genesis" and "Oblivion" and won the Canadian industry's Juno Award for Electronic Album of the Year. After this, her album on her 4th studio effort, Art Angels, was released in the year 2015 and garnered reviews of praise, as several magazines declared it to be the top album of the year. Miss Anthropocene was her fifth studio album. Outside of the music industry, Grimes had a voice part in the gaming action Cyberpunk 2077 and is a judge on the music competition game series Alter Ego.
