At the age four, she began singing and received an opportunity to be famous when she begged her mother to take her to an audition on Sesame Street. When she was just six years old she began her acting career as a child actor on the Sesame street's educational television show. Her acting career continued throughout New York City with many productions, including Fences the Broadway production, and Orfeo del Campo, an off-Broadway production. She won Star Search twice when she was seven years old. The second time she performed, her performance received her a rating of four stars.
