Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko, an Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai fighter from Peru and a mixed martial arts artist competing for the UFC in the Flyweight Division. She is in Kyrgyzstani. Valentina Shevchenko, a former UFC Flyweight title holder as well as UFC friend of hers is her elder sister. Antonina Shevchenko's career in combat sports began as an Muay Thai competitor. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title after which she defeated Suzane Mller by unanimous vote. Antonina Shevchenko won another medal in 2007, a bronze in 2008, a gold in 2011, and was crowned as the IFMA Amateur World Muay Thailand Champion in 2016. Antonia's professional career began in 2003. She won in 2012 her the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship and in 2016 she won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016 the WMC World Championships. Antonina's last fight was against Isa Tiedblad Keskikangas, who was fighting at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The victory was a unanimous one. Antonina Shychenko's first professional MMA debut took place in 2002, during the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan when she faced Anara Bayanova. She won with a TKO in the second round. She was able to take home 2 subsequent fights and both of them at the WXF X-Impact World Championships of 2003. This gave her an MMA record of 3-0. Shevchenko committed herself to kickboxing as she took a prolonged break in MMA. She was back in 2017 when she faced Anissa Hasdaoui. Shevchenko beat Anissa by a unanimous vote before prevailing over Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. After leaving the league in the year 2018, Shevchenko enrolled into Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina defeated Nievera by her striking skills that were superior at the end of the fight through knees to the body. Antonina accepted the UFC invitation following her win. Antonina Shychenko debuted in the UFC in the TUF Heavy Hitters finals, where she faced Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was victorious by unanimous decision, but she was defeated in her subsequent fight with Roxanne Modafferi in a split decision. Antonina rebounded from her loss to knock out Lucie Pudilova by choking her back in a rear-naked submission during the second round of UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned the extra fight of the night for this fight. Shevchenko had a win in her first three bouts, but lost the fights to Katlyn Cahookagian Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Antonina is currently being lost to Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
